ITHA

Itha is the dhivehi name for giant clam; one of the most spectacular creatures of the tropical coral reef, not only because of its enormous size but because of the extraordinary colours that live within its mantle. Its shell may appear heavy and muted, but when the clam opens, the mantle reveals an almost otherworldly palette of electric blues, turquoise, emerald greens, deep violets, golds and rich browns.
